It seems like Sony’s in-house development studio, Naughty Dog, cannot catch a break this year. Following the departure of Uncharted’s creative director, Amy Hennig earlier this month, Game Director Justin Richmond has announced that he too shall be leaving Naughty Dog and start a new job with League of Legends developers, Riot Games. Richmond was the game director behind Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, and also worked as briefly as a game designer on the multiplayer section of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.
Richmond made a statement to IGN saying;
“I have in fact made the decision to leave Naughty Dog. I love the company and the people and know that they will continue to create awesome games going forward. On a happier note, after careful consideration and exploration I have joined Riot Games. There is some really innovative stuff going on here that I can’t wait to be a part of.”
Naughty Dog have yet to make a press release regarding the matter.
