Earlier this year Ubisoft announced their plans to introduce Splinter Cell to the big screen alongside other triple A titles from their Archive. Ever since this announcement the company has been looking for a studio ready to pick up this project and get the ball rolling, but till now all efforts have been in vein. Even so, Ubisoft officially announced that Sam Fisher shall be played by Tom Hardy, the same actor who portrayed Bane in the Dark Knight Rises. The project is starting to shape up, but there is still along way to go.
