Over 24 million user accounts may have been compromised in yet another attack on Sony. SOE the online gaming division of Sony Corp. behind DC Universe online, is distinct and operates separately from any other Sony entity even if its under Sony's management. The attack (even though similar) has no relation to what happened to the PSN and it's not a second attack. SOE will be investigating in detail what happened yesterday and will be working around the clock to get things going again. SOE will hand out a free 30 day additional subscription time and they will also be compensating them for each and every day that the system is down. For now it seems that the credit card database has not been compromised, and only the database containing information such as names, addresses, login names, and email addresses.
