Ea is reportedly working on a cross platform system which is set to allow all EA customers across all platforms to communicate and compete with each other even if they are not playing the title on the same platform. The systems will allow users to find each other, communicate, initiate multiplayer sessions across platforms, and also transfer the progress of a game from one platform to another. This system which is currently being referred to as Single Identity, is the first step for EA to become an independent virtual platform which will unify consoles, mobiles, and PCs under one networking service.
