Around hundred staff members from the studio behind Split Second have been made redundant by Disney Interactive Studio. The news was rumored earlier today on Eurogamer only to be confirmed by Disney. The remaining members in the shrunken team will continue working on their current project, yet the future of the Split Second series looks grim, and sources close to Disney say that the series is canceled all together. Disney has been changing the way it operates in the gaming industry, and in order to survive in the industry they had to do the inevitable.
