Square Enix released Murdered: Soul Suspect last month, and although I really enjoyed the game play, some considered it not good enough. The development studio behind this project, was Redmond-based Airtight Studios, who had previously worked on titles such as Quantum Conundrum, and Dark Void. Earlier this year the team received a massive blow following the departure of the studio director Kim Swift (who joined Amazon Games), and several lay offs as part of an organizational restructure.
Unfortunately for the team, it appears that Murdered: Soul Suspect will be their final title, which has proved not to be good enough to save the failing studio. We wish the best of luck to all the people affected by this closure.
