Sony Online Entertainment has officially announced that they will be combining Everquest II and Everquest II: Extended under one free membership service following several complaints over the way the online world was divided. This move will allow players to register for the extended version for free this December and also upgrade to the 'Silver' or 'Gold' membership for a heavily discounted rate. This is the second MMO title from SOE going free to play this year, the first one being DC Universe Online. SOE also announced that Everquest II:Age of Discovery will launch on the 30th of November.
