Little has been shown from Del Toro’s debut in the video game industry, and it seems like the title will never even get a chance to see the light of day, as THQ announced that they have officially dropped the project and gave the rights back to Del Toro. Insane was to be the first chapter in a new tripple A trilogy, but as time got tougher for THQ, the organisation needed to trim the fat, and Insane was one of the projects to be canned, alongside the Red Faction Franchise and the UFC franchise. The rights of the title have been transferred back to Del Toro, but unless he can find someone else to pick up the project, we might never see his take on video games.
